French onion soup for this cold, gloomy Monday
The dutch oven was filled to the top with 5lbs of onions. After an hour and some butter it reduced down to what was in the picture, which looked like a bunch of mush but made for a delicious soup. We almost crushed a whole French baguette between the two of us because the soup was that yummy.
I followed this recipe with a few minor changes to suit our taste preferences.
